Our technical office develops all the projects related to the production of each transformer and reactor we manufacture. We offer the best possible solution for the economic and technical requirements of our customers for machines suitable to different applications or special needs (for instance, direct or indirect liquid cooling; natural or forced air; reduced losses and low noise levels, etc.). Once the order based on the offer sent to the customer is received, our technical office, using 2D and/or 3D software, designs all the structural components of every machine before starting their production in our manufacturing plant.


All production phases take place inside our plant: from the arrival of the raw materials at our warehouse to the final testing before shipping the goods to customers; from the winding of the coils with different conductors (copper and/or aluminum strip, plate, wire, etc.) to the precise assembly of our transformers and reactors; from the vacuum impregnation with polyester resin to the finishing of each manufactured machine.

Furthermore, the great working experience of our staff, constantly updated on the internal certified procedures, ensures the production of high-quality transformers and reactors together with the reliability and durability of our components, increasing significantly the satisfaction of our customers.


All transformers and reactors are checked with routine tests according to IEC international standards in our testing facilities equipped with latest generation equipment. For special tests, we rely directly on external and /or international authorities, such as universities or other organisations.

We are able to perform the following tests:

  • Dimensional check

  • Measurement of voltage ratio and vector relationship

  • Measurement of winding resistance

  • Measurement of no load losses and current

  • Measurement of short circuit losses and voltage

  • Separate source AC withstand voltage

  • Induced AC voltage test

  • Temperature rise test


Trasfo Project S.r.l. has obtained UNI EN ISO 9001 certification for the engineering, manufacturing and testing of reactors and transformers. Since October 2010 the insulation system in H and F class is certified by 

The components are designed and manufactured in accordance with international standards: EN, IEC, CEI, VDE, CSA-UL, BV, LLOYD’S REGISTER, DNV, R.I.Na and according to customer specifications.
